Join us in welcoming our new Alumni Council leaders!

Pinky Fung '02 P'32,'35, Alumni Council President

Pinky Fung's relationship with the LREI has spanned over three decades. She attended LREI, along with her two older siblings, and is a member of the Class of 2002. Now she is a current parent, guiding her children, Logan Lai ’32 and Conor Lai ’35, through their LREI journeys.
Pinky’s continuous involvement in the community runs true and deep. She serves as a parent volunteer for Admissions and as a co-chair of the Asian American Families affinity group, introducing live traditional lion dance performances for the students during the Lunar New Year.
Pinky took the passion for books and arts she cultivated in LREI and turned it into a lifelong career. She has been a conservator and print production specialist at the Frick Collection/Frick Art Reference Library for nearly two decades. Now, Pinky is honored to take on a new role as the president of the Alumni Council, where she can further contribute to the legacy of the LREI community.

Akim St.Omer '02 was born, raised, and still resides in Brooklyn, NY.  After graduating LREI he went on to graduate from Boston College. He currently serves as the Marketing and Communications Co-Chair on the AHANA Alumni Advisory Council at Boston College.

During his 21-year career, he has worked in a variety of schools and non-profits where his work has been at the intersection of diversity, equity, inclusion and how it impacts organizations. Currently, he is a Program Administrator at NYU. Prior to that role, he was the Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Anti-Racism at the Girl Scouts of Greater New York.
