• Application

  Complete an online application in Ravenna by December 1, 2024. There is a non-refundable application fee of $75. A fee reduction is available upon request to the Admissions Office.

• Visit Us

  LREI offers tours and virtual information sessions to families interested in the Middle School. We strongly recommend that applicants and prospective families attend an admissions event to learn more about our dynamic program and progressive approach.
  
  Registration for Fall 2024 admissions events will open in September. We typically offer tours on Wednesday mornings for Middle School prospective families. We also offer an evening open house for families interested in learning more about our program.
  
  Reservations required via Ravenna.

• Parent Interview and Student Assessment

  Once we have processed your application, the Admissions Office will contact you to schedule an appointment for the parent interview and the student assessment.

• Official Transcript & Teacher Recommendations

  An official school transcript and the Candidate Evaluation Forms are due by the supplemental materials deadline: January 9, 2025.
  
  

  LREI requires three years of transcripts, including a report from the current school year. The Transcript Request Form and the Candidate Evaluation Forms are available on Ravenna. 

• Testing

  LREI does not require the ISEE test, administered by the Educational Records Bureau (ERB), for middle school applicants.

• Financial Aid

  We offer financial aid to students in grades Fours through Twelfth Grade. Financial aid decisions are made independently of admissions decisions, and awards are based solely on financial need. All financial information submitted is kept confidential. Applicants interested in applying for financial aid should check the appropriate box on the application. Financial aid applications are available on the School and Student Services (SSS) website due by December 15, 2024.

• Decisions & Notifications

  LREI sends decision notifications according to the guidelines set by the Independent Schools Admissions Association of Greater New York (ISAAGNY). Notifications will be sent via email from ms-admissions@lrei.org. Please set your email account to accept emails from this address as well as admissions@lrei.org.
