X-Block

X-Block is one period each day dedicated to whole high school activities. Students and teachers initiate ideas for ensembles, clubs, committees, and programs that meet during the X-Block period, which is coordinated by our Dean of Student Life. X-block is completely elective, and students may sign up for any X-Block offerings they would like. They may participate in one each day (five) or use that time as a free or study period. Some examples of X-Blocks include:

• The EI Jazz Ensemble, Wind Ensemble, String Ensemble and Chorus
• LREI Cares - our student run community service club
• Urban Agriculture - rooftop gardening
• Robotics
• IE: The Literary Magazine
• LREI Yearbook
