Performing Arts
Whether a student is drawn to dance, drama, music or all of the above, there are multiple opportunities to explore, perform, and exhibit student work. LREI produces two main stage productions: a fall drama and a spring musical. In addition, student work is presented in seasonal concerts and regular performing arts exhibitions.
In performing arts classes, LREI students are supported as artists, in the creation and performance of original and published work. Students express themselves through the performing arts by writing, directing and performing their own monologues, rocking out in rock band class, and creating original works of choreography. LREI also offers a number of ensembles that meet during X-Block. Students are encouraged to experiment, explore, and take risks with their work.
